Abstract

En los territorios más al suroeste de la Cora de Santaver, se desarrolló un complejo sistema de hábitats a partir del siglo X. En este trabajo, se ha pretendido evaluar este entramado poblacional rural con la intención de comprender su evolución a lo largo de los siglos y, especialmente su relación con dos periodos climáticos que se sucedieron en el tiempo: el Óptimo Climático Medieval y la Pequeña Edad del Hielo. Para ello, fue fundamental cruzar los datos obtenidos a través de las fuentes documentales históricas, las investigaciones arqueológicas existentes y el trabajo de campo, con los estudios que se han realizado sobre climatología histórica dentro del contexto cronológico propuesto. A esto, se sumaron los resultados obtenidos de los análisis realizados a través de los Sistemas de Información Geográfico, de los que ha derivado una cartografía detallada.
