Cocaetileno y violencia: influencia de la interacción cocaína-alcohol en la conducta antisocial

Abstract

Se revisa la posible relación entre la adicción combinada de alcohol y cocaína, muy frecuente en la actualidad, y la aparición de comportamiento antisocial, agresividad y violencia. La farmacodinámica diferencial a partir del consumo de ambas sustancias tiene como resultado la formación de un metabolito, denominado cocaetileno, con propiedades diferentes a las de las otras sustancias por separado. Parece existir un consenso acerca del papel predominante del alcohol en la génesis de estas conductas, pero la influencia de la cocaína y la interdependencia de ambas sustancias permanecen desconocidas
