Queries wounds Nursing Primary Care: What injury generates increased workload? Introduction: wound care represents a significant workload for nursing consultation in primary care. Objective: To quantify what injuries impaired skin integrity generate increased workload Methodology: urban and cross multicenter analytical study in the field of Primary Care Health Center Castellon de la Plana, Denia, Granada, Madrid and Logroño, in January / February 2016. Results: The population included in the 6 participating health centers was 74,277 inhabitants> 15 years. A total of 1105 observations was performed. 56.2% in wounds EEII and 43.8% of surgical wounds. The 38.5% performed the clinical cure procedure in less than 15 minutes. The remaining clinical cure procedures exceeded this time. Discussion: The lack of literature on the subject prevents us from making comparisons between studies. Despite having the material available in more than half of the health centers to study, only 1% of therapeutic interventions on venous ulcers were performed with multilayers bandages kit. Conclusions: It is the lesions in the lower extremities which generate the greatest effective workload in the nursing consultations on demand. The administration should adjust the time allotted to reality; or assign different times depending on whether surgical wounds or lower extremity wounds.
