Abstract

Introducción El ictus vertebrobasilar puede suponer un reto diagnóstico. La parálisis bilateral de las cuerdas vocales como manifestación de ictus agudo es muy rara, pero potencialmente mortal, por la posibilidad de obstrucción aguda de la vía aérea. No hay casos descritos de parálisis bilateral de las cuerdas vocales como presentación de ictus agudo de etiología neurológica mixta central y periférica.
