Abstract

Tularemia is one of the emerging infections of our times. F. tularensis is a highly virulent pathogen that is capable of initiating the infection with only the inoculation of 10 microorganisms. Although it is not a frequent infection seen in Primary Care consultations, it is important to diagnosis it early and thus anticipate the emergence of new outbreaks and adopt appropriate measures to control it. © 2009 Elsevier España S.L y Sociedad Española de Medicina Rural y Generalista (SEMERGEN).
