La ausencia en Schiller: el deus absconditus y el ejecutor (Wallenstein y Wilhelm Tell)

Abstract

La conexión entre los dramas de Schiller y las reflexiones desarrolladas en sus escritos filosóficos e históricos es una cuestión muy problemática. Simplificando, se puede decir que los textos filosóficos proyectan los ideales schillerianos y los históricos reflejan su conocimiento psicológico de los seres humanos. Esa tensión entre el ideal y la realidad se manifiesta, entre otras constelaciones, en la de la ausencia. En Wallenstein y en Wilhelm Tell, los protagonistas están fuera de la acción en gran parte de la trama. El personaje de Wallenstein está ausente como un deus absconditus que se revela fallido. La ausencia del personaje de Tell es la de un ejecutor que deja intacto de culpabilidad al colectivo de su pueblo.
