Análisis de la figura de Pedro Fernández de Quirós y la imagen de España en la prensa y la historiografía británico-australiana y su relación con el proceso de construcción nacional, desde antes de la constitución de la federación de las colonias, finales del siglo XIX, hasta el fin de los últimos lazos legales con Gran Bretaña, segunda mitad del XX.
