The purpose of the present study is, exclusively, to prove the presence of some drugs and/or psychopharmaca in a urine sample in patients that attended for the first time to a Mental Health Center in the Community of Madrid. They were taken urine samples in all the patients that, voluntarily, were lent to this and applying the principle of immunoassays of fluorescent polarization (FPIA) we limit ourselves to the determination of cannabis, opiate, ethanol and benzodiazepines. The results confirm the presence of the same in some instances that express us the possible consumption habit. It is suggested the possibility of having it in account as datum of use in the elaboration of diagnostic and therapeutic strategy, in this kind of patients.
