Abstract

In the Criadero quartzite of Almaden the presence of pyrite is a regional feature; globules, dissiminations and framboids are the most common types. All the 10 samples studied are characterized by Co/Ni <1. Co and Ni contents are strongly correlated and they are not widely dispersed. From these geochemical parameters a sedimentary genesis for these pyrites is deduced.-P.Br.
