Abstract

in this paper we introduce a new lecture and a new commentary of an inscription fragment from the south of Portugal, from freguesia of Pias (concelho of Serpa). In this renewed commentary the authors provide arguments in favour of its metric character, a subject only slightly discussed at the present time, and thus they embed the piece in the corpus of carmina Latina epigraphica (CLE) from Roman Hispania, for which the XVIII/2 volume of the Corpus Inscriptionum Latinarum (CIL), which is coming soon, will be dedicated.
