Abstract

In this work, a series of climatic indicators of indirect origin that were located in the territories belonging to the Order of Santiago in La Mancha de Toledo and Cuenca are studied. They have been extracted from the historical documentation and have been investigated both individually and jointly. All of them respond to environmental conditions of the Medieval Climatic Optimum, the Little Ice Age or the transition between both climatic periods. This study follows the methodology proposed for Historical Climatology research and offers unusual indicators that allow us to reconstruct the landscape.
