Abstract

This work illustrates the use of teaching tools to improve the teaching in the Area of Systems Engineering that allow students to achieve a better balance between theory, practice and also provide self-learning. The developed interactive methods contemplate the computer as a tool to address comprehensively the analysis, design and simulation of control systems, so that you can show students how changing configurations of a part of the system is immediately reflected in the rest. This has been a help to the new teaching skills: promoting active participation in the classroom, coordinating teacher / lecturer, teacher/center and make it possible to be part of a joint project of the student training. The implementation of these educational innovations has led to the use and integration of a generic Moodle virtual platform with interactive learning modules developed by using specific tools of analysis, design and simulation of control systems as MATLAB, Simulink and Simscape. From the educational point of view it should be noted that the methodology described has been implemented on a core subject belonging to the field of Systems Engineering and Automation in the Computer Science Faculty, in particular in the course "Systems Engineering".
