Abstract

En este trabajo se revisan las confluencias e influencias mutuas que se dan, de manera generalizada entre el movimiento, con objetivos marcadamente pedagógicos, del Pensamiento Crítico y las investigaciones provenientes del campo interdisciplinar de la Teoría de la Argumentación. Existiendo un cierto consenso en considerar que la pensadora crítica es un ser humano dotado de ciertas habilidades y disposiciones específicas, aquí se aborda la posible caracterización explícitamente argumentativa y particularmente interactiva y dialéctica de tales habilidades y disposiciones, explorando las aportaciones realizadas por algunos teóricos de la argumentación y algunos representantes del movimiento del pensamiento crítico a tal efecto. Al resituar las habilidades y disposiciones de pensamiento crítico como intrínsecamente asociadas a la capacidad de participar activa y relevantemente en prácticas comunicativas de dar, pedir y examinar razones se hace justicia al origen pragmatista de algunos de los objetivos iniciales del movimiento del critical thinking.
