Abstract

El 11 de diciembre de 1987, Copi, moribundo por la nueva enfermedad que aterrorizaba al mundo, y habiendo alcanzado el aprecio de más de un intelectual, recibió el Grand Prix de Littérature Dramatique otorgado por el Ayuntamiento de París. Lamentablemente, tres días más tarde, el 14 de diciembre, fallece en el hospital Claude-Bernard de París. Copi fue consciente de la llegada de una “visita” nada oportuna que lo conduciría a crear una de sus mejores obras de teatro: Une visite inopportune [1988]. En este estudio queremos conmemorar, en cierto modo, el ingenio creativo con el que Copi se enfrentó a su agonía por el sida y destacar la vigencia de una obra autobiográfica creada en medio de una enfermedad que condena a los homosexuales en la década de 1980 en Francia (y en todo el mundo). En primer lugar, intentaremos contextualizar brevemente los primeros años de pandemia en Francia para relacionar la obra con la escritura del sida. Posteriormente, analizaremos los recursos dramatúrgicos que Copi utilizó con humor para poner en escena “el aniversario de mi sida” y pondremos en valor la importancia de esta subversiva “comedia de la muerte”.
